The naked eye observation of experts is the traditional approach adopted in practice for the detection and identification of plant diseases.Ĭrop diseases are a major threat to food security, but their rapid identification remains difficult in many parts of the world due to a lack of the necessary infrastructure. Farmers experience great difficulties in switching from one disease control policy to another. Now a day’s plant disease detection has received increasing attention in monitoring large fields of crops. In India, 70% of the population depends on agriculture and contributes 17% towards the GDP of the country. Diseases in plants cause major production and economic losses as well as a reduction in both the quality and quantity of agricultural products.
